A brief intro of IPL treatment

IPL or Intense Pulsed Light treatment is one of the highly advanced treatments on offer these days which can cure a wide range of skin related problem in the shortest possible time for you. Whether you are suffering from a problem called hyperpigmentation or if you have fine lines or scars on your face and other parts of the body, this treatment can magically treat your problem without leaving any sort of unsightly scars behind on your body. In addition, the treatment can also help you eliminate unwanted hair from your body once and forever. All you are going to need is a few sessions of this high tech treatment that has especially been introduced to treat an array of skin related problems which cannot be cured through medications. It also offers an alternate route to all those people who want to have a wrinkle free face.

Many people in Sydney and other urban places of the world tend to get confused between IPL and laser based skin treatments. They tend to consider them as one and the same, but that it is not exactly the case. Contrary to the popular perception, intense pulsed light treatment is a completely non-laser skin rejuvenation technology. The treatment makes use of the light energy to treat a wide range of skin problems such as pigmentation, acnes, scars, spots, unwanted hair, fine lines and wrinkles. It is an ablative treatment in which a beam of light is focused on the problem areas. This beam enters the deeper layers of the skin without effecting the epidermis and the surrounding tissues.

The procedure makes use of broad spectrum of light to treat all sorts of problem. A light handheld device is used for the purpose which emits light that penetrates the skin. This light is then absorbed by a pigment present in our skin called melanin along with tinny blood vessels which are referred to as spider veins. The highlighting feature of this treatment is that while it treats the deeper layers of the skin, the upper layer remains absolutely intact. The heat generated through the interaction of melanin and light energy leads to the removal of unwanted blood vessels and pigments. This, in turn, improves the skin texture and treats an array of problems including sunburns, rosacea and acnes. A typical IPL treatment at a professional Sydney skin care clinic would not last more than 30 minutes.
