A dermal is often confused with other cosmetic treatments such as botox. Dermal filler, also known as lip filler, is basically is substance which when injected into lips plump it up while simultaneously making them firmer. Dermal fillers are usually used for the purpose of reducing fine lines and wrinkles, but they are also being used for the purpose of filling out thinner lips at skin care clinics of Sydney and other places.

How is it performed? What is the process?

Dermal filler is usually injected into the skin without the usage of any sort of topical or local anesthetic. When injected into the skin, it instantly plumps it up by binding with water to lift up the treated area and making it firmer than ever before. Earlier, collagen fillers were used for the same purpose, which were derived from cow hide. However, modern fillers have replaces the traditional fillers as restylane and teosyal are being used quite extensively for enhancement of lips and removal of wrinkles and fine lines. The substances used these days, such as the ones mentioned earlier, are designed for specific areas. The results of these products or substances are not only quick but have very less downtime as well.

An advantage of modern day fillers that are being used as lip fillers in clinics of Sydney and other places is that they are absolutely animal free. Therefore, the chances of allergic reactions have also reduced considerably due to the usage of such products. As far as the recovery period is concerned, it is not going to be more than a couple of days as there will not be any sort of cuts or injury to your skin after the procedure.
